CareTouch has created a culture of compassionate communicators partnering to improve people’s health. With this in mind, our own employee-led outreach program, CareTouch in the Community™, was born.
CareTouch in the Community™ supports the health of people where we live and work, and it is the heartfelt passions of our own employees that brought this program to life. Throughout the year, our team chooses a few causes that are important to us and to the health of people in our community. We donate our time, talent and treasure to these causes with the hope of making a small difference.
On June 7, the CareTouch staff will participate in The Leaves of Hope Run/Walk and Cancer Survivors Celebration. So many of us have been touched by cancer, and we feel that this will be a great way to show our support for people who have survived cancer, and those who are currently battling it. If you’d like to join us for the race, or make a donation to Exempla Lutheran Medical Center Foundation, please visit the Leaves of Hope Registration page and click on our Team (CareTouch in the Community)!
Last September, we embarked on our first CareTouch in the Community event, by participating in the 9th annual Hike for Hospice event in Morrison, Colorado.
This event supported Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice in Denver. Through our sponsorship, fundraising efforts (thank you!) and butterfly release at the Hike for Hospice, we raised over $4,000 for the Butterfly Program, which provides pediatric palliative care. Thank you to everyone who supported us!
